• Day 1 : Heading to the Banks of Belize
  

Upon arrival at Belize City International Airport, you will be greeted with a warm welcome and transferred by car to a rainforest setting on the banks of the Belize River.

This eco-friendly resort sits on the banks of the famous Belize River. It offers a relaxed setting from which you can enjoy its peacefulness throughout your stay…

This Resort distributed on a central building, cottages & villas offers you one of its 25 rooms offering a scenic view on the garden.

• Day 2 : Trekking, observing howler monkeys and visiting Lamanaï ruins

After breakfast, you will explore the jungle and listen to the howler monkeys. Thanks to your local guide, you will learn everything about them.

You will observe monkey families with babies being carried by their mothers. You will get surprised by the cries of dominant males that can be heard kilometers away. Prepare your cameras.

After lunch break, we suggest you explore the archaeological site of Lamanaï (meaning submerged crocodile in Mayan)

You can discover the famous Jaguar temple (by ascending to the top of the “high temple” to enjoy a 360° view on the surrounding jungle).

This visit also includes seeing a 19th century sugar mill and the ruins of two Catholic churches of the 16th century that were burned by the Mayas.

• Day 3 : Site Archeological of Xunantunich
  

After breakfast early in the morning, it will be time to leave on the traces of the Maya in the heart of the jungle. This region offers many vestiges and preserved temples. It is also nature activities: excursions of impressive caves, hikes, observation of the fauna (howler monkeys, observation of birds).

The guide will pick you up at your resort to explore the majestic archaeological site of Xunantunich, where from the top of its pyramid you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the jungle.

On the way back, you will live an authentic Mayan experience: you will meet a local Mayan in his habitat and discover his handicraft work.

• Day 4 : En route to la Isla Bonita

It’s time to leave the Lodge to your next step : Ambergris Caye or la Isla Bonita.

You will be driven to the watertaxi to board a boat from Belize Epxress.

A 1:30 hrs boat will take you to the city of San Pedro, on the island of Ambergris Caye. Enjoy the incredible view as you are getting closer to the island nicknamed “la Isla Bonita”

Then, you will head to your hotel in San Pedro : located near the beach, 500 meters away from the second largest barrier reef in the world… You will fall asleep with the sound of the waves as a lullaby.

Free time in the afternoon to wander the streets of the city.

• Day 5 : Excursion in Hol Chan reserve & Shark Ray Alley

In the morning, exploration of the barrier reef.

You will dive with flippers, a mask and a snorkel to swim in the middle of a real aquarium with turtles, parrot fish and nurse sharks. Located 6 km south of the shores of Ambergris Cayes, the area is divided in two parts : Hol Chan or small channel in Mayan and Shark Alley, a less deep area where nurse sharks and pelagic stingrays abound.

Free afternoon to enjoy the tranquility of the island and the sun.

Two possibilities are offered to you:

1/cap to the north of the island aboard a Cart golf cart to relax on Secret Beach. (see next page)
2/ you can enjoy the spaces of your resort to lounge by the pool.

At night time, we suggest you introduce your tastebuds to the Belizean cuisine. Authentic and traditional.

• Day 6 : Free time in Caye Caulker or The Great Blue Hole
  

Caye Caulker is small in size but great when it comes to landscapes. It has the atmosphere of Jamaica in the middle of colorful lodgings, with island music. It is your program for the day.

After crossing the water on board a watertaxi for 25 min, you will step in another world. No cars but golf carts, beaches littered with palm trees, hammocks gently swinging to the breeze, outdoor restaurant where the atmosphere is as rich as the cuisine offered there : everything here is synonymous with GO SLOW, the island’s motto.

After your breakfast, you will board the dive boat for a trip to the Lighthouse Reef where you will dive on 3 different spots with mask & snorkel:

• Blue Hole,
• Half Moon Wall
• Aquarium

You will take a break for lunch at Half Moon Caye to watch this unusual show and where you will take lots of pictures.

• Day 7 : Excursion to the Mexico Rocks Reserve

Located 9 km north of the island of Ambergris Caye ; exploring the marine reserve of Mexico Rocks.

It is a complex of shallow reefs located off the coast of the Northern point of Ambergris, which is part of Belize’s barrier reef.

It is a magnificent location where nature truly shines.

Come swim with us among the rays, nurse sharks and gorgonias.

You will surely see lots of magical colors as well as turtles, and if you are lucky, our friend the barracuda.

Free afternoon to explore the northern part of the island or enjoy the hotel’s pool.

– You are about to see some of the most beautiful sites in Belize, so don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the moment.

– The Belizean sun is a pure delight but very generous, so remember to take your sunscreen with you to avoid sunburns!

– Choose light clothing, preferably made of cotton or linen, such as shorts, pants and long-sleeved shirts to protect yourself from mosquitoes, at dawn and at dusk.
