The power system in Belize privides 100 volts, with a 60Hz frequency. In most areas, electric power is stable. Luxury hotels generally own emergency power generators.

Plugs of the B/G type are used. As electrical norms might not be the same as in your country, don’t forget to bring a travel adapter or a universal adapter to use your electronics in Belize.

Running water in cities and villages is not drinkable. Don’t drink tap water and beware ice cubes in drinks.

Favor drinking mineral water and avoid buying water from street vendors, and also don’t drink any water from a bottle that wasn’t opened before your eyes.
