Actun Tunichil Muknal cave (ATM)

You'll have to cross three rivers before reaching the caves. Then you'll swim, climb, walk and clamber to the depths of the subterranean world known to the Mayans as Xibalbá. This kilometer-long cave contains pottery offerings and human remains sacrificed to the rain god Chaac in the 9th century.
A good level of physical fitness is essential for this visit.
